Himalayan Friendly, is a reputed Government Registered Adventure Company in Nepal, in association with various government, and non-government organizations related to Nepal Tourism Industry. THE TRIP CONDITIONS:

All our treks beyond major cities and towns are based in local Lodge / Home Stay, Guest House or Resorts. Including tented camping on trekking in remote pockets of the Himalayas as per the trip selected. In our standard itineraries, some days can be longer, or shorter depending on the client’s fitness. As well as season-wise, the itinerary days mentioned sometimes can differ. Due to availability of vehicle on time, flight delay or leads to

cancellation, unfavorable bad weather. Including the trail and road conditions can hamper our trip itinerary days, which is beyond the company’s control. In these types of situations your selected trips might get affected, in some rare conditions. The company might have to reroute or cancel the trips due to the following reasons. Likewise, political strikes, riots, bad weather, broken road or trail conditions, and Porter & situation with long delays of domestic flights. In such a situation, the clients have to understand and bear with us.

The company will try its best to adjust the itinerary, as best as possible for the convenience of all clients.
Sometimes company has the right to cancel the trips due to unavoidable conditions. This is beyond our control as well as with fewer numbers of clients as mentioned by the company in certain trekking areas. From the expected group of a minimum of 2-4 persons, like choosing trips around the Restricted Areas in Nepal.

TRAVEL & MEDICAL INSURANCE:

The company, highly suggests that every client on booking must obtain Travel and Medical Insurance. It is important and compulsory when undertaking any tour and trek around Nepal and other Himalayan destinations.

The Insurance should include enough protection against personal injury, accidents or loss of life, and medical expenses. The repatriation expenses should cover all types of personal transportation in an emergency. Like evacuation with services of helicopter for rescue, air ambulance, and adequate coverage for misplaced or lost baggage.

Last Hour Booking:

We accept your last-hour booking on the eve of a trip departure with 100 % payment (07 days before the tour starting date only for Nepal Trips, but trips in Bhutan, and Tibet will not be accepted, and require a minimum of two weeks in advance before trip departures around Bhutan and Tibet.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY:

Our trekking guide representing the company holds the rights with all authority during treks and tours. If you behave badly with a negative attitude and commit any unlawful act, you are compelled to leave the tour/trekking. No refund will be made in such condition.

NEPAL VISA &PASSPORT CONDITION:

All clients must have a valid passport at least six months validity from the return date. Nepal visas can be obtained from the Nepal Consulate or Embassy abroad in your home country or on arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, where the costs of Nepalese visas are the sole responsibility of clients.

CANCELLATION & BOOKING CHANGES FOR BHUTAN AND TIBET:

01: Required minimum of 30 days for cancellation notice before trip departure and it must be in written form, such notice will be implied from the day the note is received. Cancellation shall be valid after the company’s approval on receiving the documentation. The Trip shall then be termed as canceled and then 50% of the trip amount will be deducted from the advance paid as a cancellation charge.

02: There will be no refunds if a passenger cancels the trip or leaves a trip for any reason whatsoever, either voluntarily, involuntarily, or if you commit any unlawful act after the trip has commenced. We will make no refunds for any meals, accommodation, or services not used.

03: Should you require other changes to your original tour, the person who booked the tour must submit a written document with the changes you require, every effort will be made, but changes cannot be guaranteed.

04: If you are compelled to cancel from traveling on the tour by genuine reason or circumstances, for example (without restriction) due to death, injury, or any serious illness of the person, close relative or friends, redundancy or jury service, in this case, one may postpone or transfer your booking to another close person, as long or provided they meet all the requirements relating to that trip. You are requested to provide proof of why you were unable to travel at the time and need to change your booking.

05: On the eve of trip departure if you are prevented from joining the chosen tour, unfortunately, there is no refund regarding this, transfer or postponing options are available as the Bhutanese and Tibet Governments have strict Tourism acts and policies.

HEALTH & FITNESS:

In all our Treks and Tours, one should be in good health with a level of fitness. Before booking with us, the client needs to check with your Doctor or Physician regarding your health and fitness. Before the trip departs to Nepal or other Himalayan destinations.

It’s solely the client’s responsibility to inform the company of any pre-existing medical condition or disability. It will be reasonably expected to increase the risk of your required medical attention, which might affect your capability to travel on the trips booked with us.

CHILDREN:

An authorized guardian by the parents must accompany all travelers under the age of sixteen, if you have any queries regarding age and suitability, please contact us for further information.

CHANGES TO YOUR HOLIDAY AND TRIP COST:

While joining with Himalayan Friendly requires flexibility, a positive attitude good humor, and understanding. Besides, in some cases, transportation, accommodation, and itineraries may change. Even after the tour has commenced, without prior notice due to local circumstances. Such as flight delays, cancellations or postponements, road blocks due to riots, and political crises in this situation please bear with us when this unexpected situation takes place, beyond our control.

WEATHER:

Himalayan regions with other unpredictable circumstances such as landslides, road blockage, flood, snow, political unrest delayed arrival, etc. The company will not be able to refund any payment under the above circumstances due to prior supplier arrangements. If possible we will always endeavor to provide you with an alternative or substitute trip of the same category.

Himalayan Friendly, does not accept any responsibility for loss on delays or cancellations with compensation resulting from such situations beyond our control. Our holidays, and tour/trek packages, are based on twin shared accommodation. Thus, a single room supplement charge will be imposed on clients who do not have another tour participant to share accommodation with. We reserve the right to revise pricing rates posted in our marketing material, under any circumstances, or under the pressure of various external factors that are further than our control, for instance, changes in exchange rate, government action, etc.

PRIVACY:

In order to collect information from you our company may ask few questions to obtain necessary permits etc. No private or personal information that you supply to us when making a booking will be disclosed for any other purposes.
