Mera Peak Climbing Adventures is one of the most exciting treks and climbs around the hidden pockets of Hinku Valley. It is located southeast of Mt. Everest at the far end of the eastern Khumbu region.

The Hinku Valley and Dudh Koshi River Valley are separated by the Kalo Himal and Naulekh rocky ridges. Mera Peak is on the eastern rim of Hinku Valley near the enclosed Hongu Valley and Panch Pokhari. The areas of Hinku Valley are less ventured by the mass flow of visitors than the other main trekking routes of Khumbu. The area around Hinku Valley is mostly ventured by a few groups of climbers for the Mera Peak climbing. As well as to traverse the high passes of Mera-La and Amphu-Labtsa-La from Hongu to Imjatse Valleys.
This makes the climb to Mera Peak exclusive to other major adventure destinations. Mera Peak Climbing Adventures begins with a short,
and sweeping panoramic flight to land at Lukla’ Tenzing & Hillary Airport.
From Lukla, the adventure follows a serene off-the-beaten path towards the high Kalo Himal and Naulekh high ridge. To reach the beautiful and scenic Hinku Valley covered in dense trees of juniper, rhododendrons, and birch with pines.

The area around Hinku Valley is also a summer pasture and grazing ground for domestic animals and yaks. From here onwards, only a small temporary settlement exists to cater to the trekkers and mountaineers.

After the climb over Zatwar-La pass, on entering the tranquil surroundings of Hinku Valley. The walk follows Khare, the base camp of Mera Peak, towers high at 6,476 m/ 21,165 feet. Mera Peak is on the list of NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association) as one of the highest trekking peaks in Nepal.

Mera Peak is also a less technical mountain to climb, but the climbers need to be well prepared. As well as being equipped with climbing gear, especially the ice-axe, crampons, and good climbing boots. The climbing grade is just an ‘F’ with ‘PD’, which means “Facial” with few simple technical efforts on crossing over crevices. The rest of the climb is straightforward to the summit, but it leads to a strenuous haul.

Due to the rapid gain in altitude, but an enjoyable and exciting adventure to experience. As well as good exercise and practice before planning for major mountaineering expeditions. The grading comes from the famous and popular French and Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification Systems. Making the climb and descent safe and successful requires an Advance or High Camp after the Base Camp.

From the summit of Mera Peak, rewarded with a jaw-dropping panorama of Snow Mountains, that encircles the top. Truly a great adventure and mesmerizing experience of a lifetime, standing atop above 6,476 meters high. Enjoying a rejoiceful moment of the wonderful adventure climbs to Mera Peak, the return journey on the same scenic routes. Then climbing over the Zatwar-La Pass and then downhill to Lukla for the last overnight around the Khumbu area.

The next morning a swift scenic flight from Lukla brings you back to the hustle of city life in Kathmandu. After a most memorable adventure on Mera Peak Climbing Adventures.
