Today, the trail moves along the DudhKoshi once more. While hiking up, you will be amazed at the Himalayan Pine, Cedar, and Deodar forests. Go through the entrance of the Sagarmatha National Park at the Monjo Village and start an uphill climb to the Namche Bazaar. The Bazaar is the major tourist hub of the Khumbu Region. Along the way, you will get the first glimpses of Mt. Everest, KusumKanguru, and Thamserku peaks. If you are an art lover, you should visit the Benkar Village. Namche is a great place to acclimatize. The sights around Namche are spectacular and beautiful. After breakfast, you can visit the Syangboche Airstrip that lies on a hill above the town. From here, you can get a panoramic view of Namche and can see amazing sights of the Himalayas as well. Further from Namche lies the Everest View Hotel. The hotel is the highest located hotel in the world and provides a view of Mount Everest and many other Himalayan peaks from all of its windows. Today provides beautiful walk, the trail meanders easily around the ridges and Everest can be clearly seen on the horizon ahead before you descend through splendid rhododendron forest for lunch. After lunch you cross the DudhKosi and begin the ascent to the top of a long ridge which flows from the summit of Kantega. The trail takes you through pine and Rhododendron forest, Thengboche braces a great Monastery as this is a devout Buddhist region, the wildlife here are unharmed and not too shy. From Tengboche, the trail drops to Debuche, crosses another exciting suspension bridge on the ImjaKhola, and climbs to Pangboche amongst thousands of Mani stones. Our uphill trek continues, taking us to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its exquisite views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and AmaDablam. You will have a full day to rest or explore the valleys of Chhukung and ImjaKhola. This particular area links with the high passes of AmphuLaptsa and Makalu Barun National Park. Stay Overnight at Local Guest Houses.
Today we will trek to Lobuche, continuing along the upper trail towards Thukla at 4,620m/ 15,157 feet. Ahead of us is the Lobuje East Peak at 6,119m/ 20,075 feet, and to our left is the formidable north face of Taweche. After approximately three hours walking slowly, we reach the small collection of lodges at Thukla where we will stop for an early lunch. After lunch, we continue the walk for approximately one hour uphill to the Everest Memorial. From the Memorial, there are outstanding views of Ama Dablam, Cholatse, and Taweche. After leaving the Memorial, the trail continues gradually parallel to the famous Khumbu Glacier, which runs off Mount Everest. After approximately another hour, the trail will eventually lead to a small cluster of tea houses pleasantly situated at Lobuche
The trail keeps on heading northwards after the Khumbu Glacier towards Gorakshep and then toward Everest Base Camp. Pomo Ri will be beside you once you reach GorakShep and on your right is Nuptse. GorakShep (5,140m) is the spot for your lunch. Return to GorakShep overnight. Stay Overnight at Local Guest Houses.
