Mera Peak is on the eastern rim of Hinku Valley near the enclosed Hongu Valley and Panch Pokhari. The areas of Hinku Valley are less ventured by the mass flow of visitors than the other main trekking routes of Khumbu. The area around Hinku Valley is mostly ventured by a few groups of climbers for the Mera Peak climbing. As well as to traverse the high passes of Mera-La and Amphu-Labtsa-La from Hongu to Imjatse Valleys.
This makes the climb to Mera Peak exclusive to other major adventure destinations.
