Trekking To The Ultimate Destination Everest Base Camp:

Today the adventure takes you to the ultimate destination at Everest Base Camp. Enjoy the morning cool walk from Lobuche on gradual path for short while, and then short steep climb. Reaching across moraine of rocks, ice above Khumbu Glacier to reach Gorakshep, a small settlement. Gorakshep with few lodges located en route Everest Base Camp and beneath Mt. Pumori and high Kalapathar rocky ridge. Gorakshep at one time was a base camp for Everest mountaineering expeditions, as the glaciers receded.

The present base camp were shifted further east about 6 km from Gorakshep, the last final settlement before base camp.From Gorakshep, enjoy the pleasant and dramatic walk of few hours following the gradual path, above Khumbu Glacier. The next day of the festival Tihar is called Gobardhan Puja, worship of oxen, followed by Bhai Tikka.
